60 years with the Danish-German model for minority protection at the border

The celebration took place at the Schleswig-Holstein representation in Berlin. The German Minister for Foreign Affairs, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein, Torsten Albig, both participated in celebrations as well.

Background:
The Copenhagen and Bonn declarations were signed by the German Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, and the Danish Prime Minister, H.C. Hansen on the 29th of March 1955. More information on the declarations and the minority question can be found in the brochure from the General Consulate in Flensburg.
