UN Secretary-General visits Denmark November 1- 2

In week 44, Copenhagen will host the IPCC meetings and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be on an official visit to Denmark on November 1 and 2 where he will attend the presentation of the IPCC report on the status of climate change.  During his visit, he will participate in the ‘Copenhagen Energy Security Dialogues’ conference on November 2 hosted by the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Lidegaard.

The conference will focus on energy sufficiency as a global challenge and is organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Before the conference, there will be a Doorstep with the UN Secretary-General, the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Building.

 

There will be two options for the press on Sunday November 2 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eigtveds Pakhus:

Pool 1) Doorstep with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Building at 1:45 pm at Salon B.  Meeting time for the press 1:00 pm.

Pool 2) Opening speech by the UN Secretary-General at the conference at 2:00 pm at Salon II.  Meeting time for the press is 1:00 pm.
