Tripartite agreement on integration

18.03.2016  18:47

17.03.16 : The Government and labour and employer organisations have today signed a tripartite agreement on labour market integration.

The agreement will strengthen business-oriented efforts, including the establishment of a new integration training programme to help refugees into the workplace faster while providing training at the same time.

Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says:

“A job is the key to integration. Therefore it is vital that we get refugees into jobs faster, so they become a resource – instead of a burden – for our society.

I would like to acknowledge the labour and employer organisations for taking this responsibility upon themselves and, together with the Government, giving integration efforts a major boost in the right direction.

Today, the Danish Labour Market Model showed itself at its best.

The agreement represents a continuation of the proud tradition of cooperation between the government and labour and employer organisations to collectively solve complex social issues. I am pleased that we are breathing new life into the Danish Labour Market Model with today’s agreement.

Therefore, it is also the Government’s ambition to continue the tripartite negotiations on other important issues. I will already get started on this task tomorrow with a meeting of all three parties at the Prime Minister’s Office.”
