Statement from the Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard on the terrorist attack in Paris:

"I’m appalled by the attack in Paris and my deepest sympathy goes to the victims of this act and their families, to the employees of Charlie Hebdo and to France. Denmark expresses its full solidarity with France during this difficult time.

The Danish Government condemns in the strongest possible terms this terrorist act. We don’t know the full details of motive yet but in all cases it’s atrocious that anyone resorts to violence against free media. This is a totally unacceptable attack on our freedom of speech. It is vital that we insist that freedom of expression is inviolable."
