Consultancy for Establishing Nomadic Clinics and Supervision of Infrastructure Improvement in Kenya

The objective of the consultancy is to support the establishment of nomadic clinics in Baringo, Marsabit Kajiado and Westpokot Counties respectively in a phased approach,  as well as supervision of infrastructure improvement (four health facilities) in Muranga County.
Scope of work- The Consultancy has the following components:

Setting up of Nomadic Clinics which involves: Actual Mapping of the nomadic routes in the respective counties (sub-counties); Sourcing, purchasing and assembling of the Nomadic Clinic Infrastructure (in close collaboration with identified suppliers);Rolling out the Nomadic Clinics in the selected counties (logistics). In close cooperation with the County Administration - County Health Management Teams (CHMT);Training of the Nomadic Clinic Health Workers on the use of nomadic clinic (how to assemble the structure including other training as may be required.); Provide supportive supervision of operation of the Clinics; Preparation of supervision and reporting tools in collaboration with the County Health Management teams; Establish likelihood of integrating such facilities within the County Government structures; Facilitate official launching of the Clinics in the respective counties

Supervision of Muranga County Health Facilities Infrastructure:  Supervision of the infrastructure rehabilitation to completion and making timely reports and updates; Supervision of the correction of defects and ensuring the contractors correct the defects within agreed time frames; In conjunction with the relevant county administration, follow laid down country procedure in preparing and approving payments for works done. Sourcing and identification of equipment required for the facilities (Theatre equipment); Supervision of the installation of the equipment’s including commissioning of the facility; Jointly with County Administration, facilitate official handing over of rehabilitated facilities

The assignment is expected to take 100 days over a period of  5 months starting July-November 2016 at a estimated maximum cost of DKK 400,000.
