Residence and work permits

Applications for residence and work permits, appeals for decision and requests to reopen a case must be submitted at VFS Global, located at 5th Floor, Parkfield Building, Muthangari Drive, opposite Safaricom House, Waiyaki Way, Nairobi, www.vfsglobal.com/denmark/kenya. Please see this map for easy reference.

Before submitting the application at VFS Global, you have to register online with the Danish Immigration Service, create a case order ID, pay a fee and print out the receipt for payment. Please click on the website for the Danish Immigration Service for further information. Information regarding application fees can be found here.

The Danish Immigration Service will reject applications submitted without having followed indicated procedures.

Important: Please make sure you are using the latest application form when you submit an application. You can find all application forms on the website for the Danish Immigration Service.

Submission of applications to the Danish Embassy through VFS Global

After you have finished the registration of your application as described above, you can submit your application to the Danish Embassy through VFS Global. It is important to bring the case order ID number and receipt for payment of the fee to the Danish Immigration Service, together with the other documents listed in the application form. Moreover, you have to bring originals and colour copies of other relevant documents, incl. colour copies of all pages of you passport and two colour ID photos.

When submitting your application, your biometrics will be registered at VFS Global.

Work in Denmark - Denmark update

The new website for foreigners who wish to live and work in Denmark

The Ministry of Foreign Affaris of Denmark, The National Labour Market Authority and the Work in Denmark centers are introducing a new website, Denmark Update. The site is targeting foreign workers considering living and working in Denmark. Denmark Update is especially targeting visitors on the Work in Denmark portal. Visitors who have uploaded their résumé in the CV-datebare at the Work in Denmark portal will be offered an automatic notification when updates on Denmark Update are made.

The purpose of the website is, among other things, to drwa a picture of Denmark as a living and working space for foreign workers. This includes information on how families settle in and moreover, to give a realistic impression on the opportunities and conditions that exists for foreign workers seeking jobs in Denmark. The website is consideres a supplement to the Work in Denmark portal and is linked to other relevant websites for potential foreign workers.

The first edition of Denmark Update is now ready at www.denmarkupdate.dk and 3-4 updates are scheduled per year.
