Visa for Kenya

Danish citizens need a visa when travelling to Kenya.

Kenya has introduced an online visa application portal for all visitors. The system was implemented on 1st September 2015, and from 1st January 2021 it is mandatory to have an e-visa when entering Kenya. This means that from that day it will no longer be possible to buy a visa upon arrival.

More information can be found at the homepage of the Kenyan Embassy in Stockholm, http://kenyaembassystockholm.com.

The online visa application portal, which is the only official portal linked directly to the Kenyan Immigration Authorities, is http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html - kindly note other portals are not Kenyan Immigration portals and charge a higher fee.

NB: Please note visa fees may be subject to changes without prior notice - it is also recommended to confirm above information, as changes may occur at a short notice.

It is advised to apply for visa in good time before departure for Kenya.

Passport must be valid 6 months longer than the stay in Kenya. Children must have their own passport.

Danish emergency passports and EU-Emergency Travel Documents (ETD) are not accepted for entry into Kenya.

Holders of Danish Alien passports must apply for visa in advance through the Kenyan Embassy in Stockholm.
