Where to hand in your application

The  Danish Embassy in Nairobi is a Regional Visa Hub and as such process visa applications for Denmark, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland from applicants with legal stay in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Avoid other people selling services

Please note that the Embassy only cooperates with VFS Global. The Embassy has no connections or agreements with sellers outside the premises of the Embassy or VFS Global who offer services for payment. No seller can influence either the processing period or the decision.

Requirement for Schengen Visa

Applicants are requested to read the relevant visa checklists carefully before submitting the application at the VAC. Applications will not be accepted by the VAC, if all the required documents are not submitted.

The application is subject to approval, and submitting the requested documents do not guarantee that the application will be approved.

The Danish Embassy is the authority who will assess and make the decision on visa applications. The VAC is not involved in the decision making process.

The validity of your passport must extend at least three months after the intended departure from the Schengen territory. Moreover, it must be issued within the previous ten years, and must contain at last two blank pages. Please note that applications will be considered inadmissible, if a passport does not fulfil all three requirements.

Please note that a preliminary flight booking or travel itinerary should be submitted together with the visa application - The Embassy recommend you not to purchase a flight ticket before a visa has been granted.
